 Utilize Your Knowledge Lesson 1

“Saying it, is one thing but proving is another thing”. In the world where everything is based on the perception of every individual, proving a point only depends on how you perceive and understand things. Pleasing somebody to listen is something that we cannot hold unto because it depends if that somebody will lend its ears to hear what you are trying to convey. To prove means to clear or to give justification of some things.
The activity “Utilize Your Knowledge” made me think that proving is badly needed to justify and clarify where and how did the answer came up. To prove the given statement is not a joke like you are only justifying some random statement that your friends do not get the humor of the thought because proving a statement in Mathematical concept follows some rules and appropriate approach to answer. I honestly told myself that yes it is difficult to prove the given statement since at first I don’t really have an idea on how it is being done. I almost spend how many hours just to prove one statement and while looking at it I don’t really know what I’m going to do first or where I should start with. I don’t know if how many times I studied the examples so that I can get any idea on what I’m going to do to prove the assigned task and what definition, theorem or axiom I may apply on proving it. Honestly speaking, the moment that I am answering and trying to prove the given statement I want to stop and just don’t mind it because I think my mind will going to explode due to not even a single idea came up. But after so many trial my hard work paid off and gets the pattern of proving a statement. Little by little just like getting the point of some random thoughts, I also gets how to prove a statement with correct usage of definition, theorem and axiom. This not only apply in Mathematics but also in life. In order for us to prove a thing, it need to be accurate enough with better judgment using reliable statements and acceptable thoughts so that it can convey what your point is. The activity thought me not to lose your patience and not to give up not until you get the answer and also thought me that to prove a statement needs a basis and correct term and proper ways to show it effectively.
